The Right Oral Hygiene for Your Pet

Has your dog lost that sweet puppy’s breath?  As dogs mature, the bacteria found in tartar and plaque can make their breath quite unpleasant.  Brushing your dog's teeth twice a month will help keep them clean. Chews are an effective alternative if brushing is unpleasant for you and your pet. The chewing process cleans the surface of the teeth. The increased saliva produced during chewing dilutes the bacteria in saliva that causes plaque.  Another option to help keep your dog’s teeth clean is play ropes - a more playful way to clean teeth. As your dog chews on the ropes, the fibers work their way into the spaces between teeth for effective cleaning.  However, we still recommend regular dental check-ups at the vet.
