The New Warehouse 11 has been erected
At a company event on Friday, 19 August, more than 1000 guests raised their glasses to the new warehouse which is due to be completed by the end of the year.
Investments of about six million Euros were needed for the construction of the new warehouse 11, and the total site area has increased to 81,400 m². The new warehouse can hold about 17,800 pallets on 9,000 m² of warehouse space.
Storage takes place on seven levels up to a height of about 12 metres. The warehouse is equipped with shelf sprinklers and will serve primarily as replenishment storage to further optimize the delivery capacity.
As TRIXIE expects further growth, plans exist to modernize the logistical processes in 2012. The concept envisages optimizing the sectors commissioning, materials handling, packaging and dispatch in order to meet the growing demand. "Fast delivery capacity is one of our success factors. And we want it to stay that way," management says.
